Folk art is the warmest corner of our archive: hand-drawn animals, flowers and country scenes from the matchbox labels of 1950s and 60s Europe and India. Each print is scanned from an original label, so the charm of the hand-made artwork survives: slightly imperfect lines, honest colour, and characters with real personality.

These prints suit rooms that feel collected rather than decorated: kitchens, entryways, kids rooms and eclectic gallery walls. Most designs come from Czech, Swedish, Polish, Hungarian and Indian labels, and pair naturally with our Czech folk art, Swedish, Indian and animal collections.
